Characters

Continuity

  • Susan can read very fast, is a brilliant scientist and thinks and calculates in five dimensions.
  • The children of the Doctor's race are very advanced, but the Doctor doesn't consider Susan a child.
  • The Doctor and Susan have been in London for five months, presumably mending the TARDIS.
  • Susan claims to have come up with the name TARDIS, which stands for Time and Relative Dimension in Space. Presumably either the name caught on or she was the first to use the acronym as the name of the ship.
  • The ship taking off knocks out it's inhabitants. This never happens again.

Dialogue Triumphs

  • "If you could touch the alien sand and hear the cry of strange birds and watch them wheel in another sky, would that satisfy you?" -The Doctor, to Barbara
